Clear campaigns. Fair games.
Last updated August 3, 2026. These terms apply when a company or its authorized representative submits advertising, sponsorship, coupon, product, or promotional material to Shelf Hunt.
Plain-language summary: submitting a request does not guarantee placement. Shelf Hunt reviews every campaign, keeps sponsored content clearly disclosed, and will send payment instructions only after approval.
1. Authority and accurate information
You confirm that you are authorized to act for the named company and that the product information, claims, prices, availability, links, coupon terms, and creative you submit are accurate and lawful.
2. Review and approval
All reservations are requests until Shelf Hunt approves them in writing. We may request changes, reject a campaign, or decline a product or category that is unsuitable for the game or its general audience.
3. Prohibited campaigns
We do not accept deceptive claims, malware, illegal products, adult content, tobacco, weapons, gambling, political persuasion, or products and messages inappropriate for a general audience. Health, nutrition, environmental, and performance claims must be substantiated.
4. Creative rights, product data, and illustrations
You retain ownership of your submitted creative and underlying brand materials. You grant Shelf Hunt a limited, non-exclusive license to use product names, identifiers, logos, package references, and submitted materials; to resize and optimize them; and to create, display, and distribute stylized or AI-assisted product artwork for the approved campaign, its preview, gameplay, and delivery report.
You confirm that you have permission to submit those materials. Product artwork may simplify or imperfectly reproduce packaging, text, colors, dimensions, flavor, quantity, or other details and is not an official package reproduction. Third-party marks remain the property of their respective owners. Shelf Hunt retains its rights in the game, layouts, software, and original artwork, excluding your underlying trademarks and submitted materials.
5. Sponsored disclosure and gameplay
Shelf Hunt may label campaigns as “Sponsored,” “Advertisement,” “Presented by,” or similar language. Sponsorship does not guarantee a player win, alter game scoring, or conceal a material relationship.
Each reservation applies only to the game and placement named in the approved order. Shelf Hunt may separate repeated use of the same product across games, adjust a requested category or connection for puzzle accuracy, and decline any integration that would reveal an answer or reduce gameplay fairness.
A placement is not a Shelf Hunt recommendation or representation that a product is healthy, safe, superior, effective, or suitable for any person. Advertiser claims must be truthful, non-misleading, and adequately substantiated, including claims communicated by text, imagery, context, or implication.
6. Dates, edits, cancellation, and make-goods
- Campaign details normally lock 48 hours before launch.
- A date is not guaranteed until approval and payment are confirmed.
- Cancellation and refund terms will appear on the invoice or checkout presented after approval.
- If Shelf Hunt cannot deliver an approved campaign because of a service failure, the usual remedy is a replacement date or credit.
7. Coupons, purchases, and destination pages
You are responsible for honoring valid offers and for the security, accessibility, disclosures, inventory, fulfillment, customer service, and privacy practices of the linked destination. Coupon limitations must be stated clearly.
8. Reporting
Reports may include aggregate impressions, players, guesses, solves, reveal views, code-copy actions, and outbound clicks. Measurements may be affected by browser settings, filtering, connectivity, and technical limitations. Unless separately agreed, reports do not identify individual players.
9. Privacy
Contact and campaign information is used to review, operate, bill, update, and report on the campaign. Shelf Hunt’s general data practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes and final agreement
The approved insertion order, invoice, or external checkout may add campaign-specific dates, deliverables, pricing, cancellation terms, and legal terms. If those conflict with this page, the signed or accepted campaign-specific agreement controls.
These launch terms are a practical operating draft and are not a substitute for legal advice. They should be reviewed by qualified counsel before Shelf Hunt signs material corporate campaigns.
